LA Opera launches an extraordinary new production of Wagner’s monumental Ring cycle, conducted by Music Director James Conlon and directed and designed by the internationally celebrated artist Achim Freyer, who previously staged LA Opera’s exceptional La Damnation de Faust and Bach’s Mass in B Minor. His work has been hailed as vividly theatrical, exhilaratingly irreverent and meticulously prepared. To bring this ground-breaking new production to life, LA Opera has assembled an exceptional cast, including Vitalij Kowaljow as Wotan, Gordon Hawkins as Alberich and Michelle De Young as Fricka.
