Visiting Patrons

Save the dates for the 2013-14 Season! 
November 23-24, 2013 & March 15-16, 2014

The Visiting Patron Program is designed for opera lovers who visit LA Opera from outside the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Visiting Patron Weekends occur twice per season and members enjoy productions, receptions, backstage tours, outings to local cultural institutions, VIP ticketing services, hotel discounts, and more.

Next season’s Visiting Patron Weekends are scheduled for November 23-24 and March 15-16.  In the fall, members will see Mozart's dreamy fairytale, The Magic Flute, and Verdi's rousing comedy Falstaff. The spring weekend will feature Donizetti's romantic tale of family honor, betrayal and madness, Lucia di Lammermoor and Britten's unforgettable adaptation of Herman Melville's novella, Billy Budd. Maestro James Conlon will conduct all four operas and give his famous pre-performance lectures.

Membership in the Visiting Patron Program requires a $2,500 tax-deductible contribution to LA Opera. The benefits include VIP ticketing services for purchases and exchanges, including a 10% discount on performance tickets; invitations to all Visiting Patron Weekend events and activities (free of charge); and special discount hotel rates.
