If you love La Traviata, you'll love La Rondine
Can a worldly Parisian courtesan find lasting love in the arms of a naive young man from the provinces? Our heroine Magda is living a life of luxury filled with free-flowing champagne, fizzy frivolity, and light-hearted liaisons. And her "patron" Rambaldo keeps footing the entire bill. Upon meeting the handsome young Ruggero, she realizes he's her soul mate, and they run off to the Riviera together. But just as a swallow follows its inevitable destiny, Magda's sordid past dictates the outcome of the illusion.
Featuring the heart-melting "Doretta's Dream Song" (heard in the film A Room with a View), La Rondine is a little-known treasure-trove that includes some of Puccini's most rhapsodic music. Marta Domingo directs the captivating production of this Puccini jewel.
