The production presents heldentenor Ben Heppner in the title role and features the Company debuts of two other noted Wagnerian artists: Kristinn Sigmundsson (King Heinrich) and Soile Isokoski (Elsa) in her Company debut. Dolora Zajick makes her title debut as the schemining Ortrud. James Johnson appears as the Telramund.
