Florence Titmus
Assoc. Principal Second Violin

Florence Titmus (second violin) has performed in many places throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and the former Soviet Union. She has performed with many groups since graduating from California Institute of the Arts with a Masters of Fine Arts. She is currently a member of the LA Opera Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony and Los Angeles Master Chorale Orchestra, as well as many other local groups and chamber music series. She also participates in the Oregon Bach Festival under the direction of Helmut Rilling every summer, the All Saints Chamber Music in the Chapel Series, edits violin music books for Last Resorts Music Publishing and coaches violin at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. She has recorded with Decca, Delos, Hanssler, Newport Classics, and RCM (Rubedo Canis Musica) and has played in numerous film, television and radio broadcasts. Her other interests include being elected to orchestra committees for her inherent talent of speaking up at any opportunity she gets and her French hornist husband, three children, and large menagerie of pets who never let her get bored.
