A.J. Weissbard's selected lighting design credits include many theater projects with Robert Wilson, such as Lady from the Sea, text by Susan Sontag; The Days Before, text by Umberto Eco, music Ryuichi Sakamoto, Lincoln Center, New York; Woyzeck, music by Tom Waits; and recently the Indonesian epic I La Galigo, Singapore Esplanade. Collaborations in opera include Orphee et Euridice and Alceste, Theatre du Chatelet, Paris; Prometheus, Athens Concert Hall; Osud, Narodni Divadlo. Installation credits include Isamu Noguchi, Vitra Design Musem; Anna didn't come home that night..., Kunstindustrimuseum, Copenhagen; Temple of Man, Petit Palais, Paris; The Fables, Yves Saint Laurent; and Giorgio Armani, Guggenheim Museum. His other collaborations as lighting designer include work with Peter Stein, Peter Greenaway, Bernard Sobel, William Kentrdige, Moni Ovadia, Karole Armitage, Daniele Abbado, and as lighting supervisor for Martha Graham Dance Company and Diamanda Galas. Other exhibition credits include Made in Italy by Gae Aulenti, Biennale de Valencia 2001 and the Salone dell Mobile with Ross Lovegrove. He has also consulted for the architectural lighting design in Milan of Armani Teatro and designed runway fashion shows for Nautica and Giorgio Armani.
