Mezzo-soprano Jennifer Wallace is one of Southern California's most versatile vocal artists, having performed as a soloist in a variety of styles, from major oratorios to musical theater and from grand opera to theater for children. She can be heard singing on numerous motion picture soundtracks and, in 2008, was featured on an episode of the NBC television series Chuck. She was the winner of the 1994 Opera Guild Competition, apprenticed at Tulsa Opera, and is a leading performer with Orange County Opera. In 2000 she was the first woman hired to perform as a gondolier at the Venetian Hotel. She has sung extensively with LA Opera since its inception in 1986, appearing in over 90 different productions. She has also had the privilege of performing several solo Pops concerts with "King of the Keyboards" Bob Ralston (of The Lawrence Welk Show) featuring all of the aforementioned genres. Most recently, she appeared as a Reporter in the world première of Stephen Schwartz's Séance on a Wet Afternoon with Opera Santa Barbara. She is a representative for her fellow classical performers as a delegate, national board member and SoCal area chair of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).
