Chas Rader-Shieber

Chas Rader-Shieber (director) makes his LA Opera debut with Tamerlano (November 2009). He has recently directed Ainadamar (The Curtis Institute of Music); I Puritani (Opera Theatre of Saint Louis); The Cunning Little Vixen (Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera); Flavio and La Donna del Lago (New York City Opera); and Don Giovanni (Opera Pacific). Other credits include La Clemenza di Tito (Opéra de Montréal, Santa Fe Opera), Semele (Arizona Opera, Anchorage Opera), Orlando (New York City Opera, Glimmerglass Opera), Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Pittsburgh Opera, Minnesota Opera), and Tamerlano (Washington National Opera, Spoleto Festival USA). In the 2008/09 season season he directs Una Cosa Rara (Opera Theatre of Saint Louis), David et Jonathas (Pinchgut Opera), and Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Lyric Opera of Chicago). He will direct Don Giovanni for Santa Fe Opera in the summer of 2009.
