Soprano Christie Lynn Lawrence has performed with LA Opera since the Company began. She was a guest of the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland, the ninth lady in the world premiere of Nicholas and Alexandra, and a solo voice in Die Frau ohne Schatten, to name a few. You can hear her at the movies on film soundtracks, most recently in Beowulf and the international releases of The Simpsons. She can also be heard on the soundtracks of X-Men, Spiderman, The Matrix, King Kong, Van Helsing, and many others. She has sung in Europe, Japan and Hong Kong, and has performed many solo recital tours for Columbia Artists Community Concerts. She has performed with the Los Angeles Opera Quartet, Nevada State Opera, at the Mozart Festival and with the William Hall Chorale. Her critically acclaimed cabaret show Dysfunctional Love Songs will be released on CD and she can also be heard on the new CD Vesta. When she is not singing, she is teaching and directing.
