Kelly Krantz

Kelly Krantz received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from UCLA, where she studied vocal performance under the guidance of Juliana Gondek. In 2000, she debuted in Royce Hall as the alto soloist in Bach's Magnificat under the direction of Donald Neuen. Her oratorio credits also include Bach's Passion According to St. John, Mozart's Requiem, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Handel's Messiah. At UCLA she was seen as Brambilla in Offenbach's La Périchole and performed numerous roles in Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges. In 2004, she performed the role of Mrs. Herring in Britten's Albert Herring. In 2005 she had the privilege of performing as the alto soloist in Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with the Redlands Symphony. That same year, she performed as the alto soloist in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Topeka Symphony, which was broadcast on public television station KTWU. She maintains the position of alto soloist/section leader at Westwood Hills Christian Church and has had the pleasure of singing in the Los Angeles Opera Chorus since 2002. |
