Anthony Michaels-Moore was the first British winner of the Luciano Pavarotti Competition in 1985. His recent debuts as Falstaff at both Opernhaus Zürich and Théâtre des Champs-Elysees and as Rigoletto at both the English National Opera and Opéra de Montréal have received high praise and critical acclaim. Since his debut in 1987 with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, he has performed there more than 350 times, including appearances in L’Elisir d’Amore, La Bohème, Die Fledermaus, The Barber of Seville, The Cunning Little Vixen, Tosca and Simon Boccanegra, among others. He has also performed with the Glyndebourne Festival, Vienna State Opera, La Scala, Opéra National de Paris, Le Théâtre du Châtelet, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Metropolitan Opera; San Francisco Opera; Chicago Lyric Opera; Santa Fe Opera; Canadian Opera Company and Opéra de Montréal.
